A Manual of Divine Plan

If we will trust and obey God we shall continually come to a place where we shall understand that the Lord has a beautiful plan for us and that plan is greater than the plan we have always designed for ourselves.

Often many plans that men have designed for themselves without consulting God has brought them to ruin. When we allow God to choose for us the result is blessed and injury free. It is a blessed hope.

In Jeremiah 29:11, God reveals that he has a plan for us saying “For I know the plans I have for you..plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

The question is will you dare believe that there is a divine plan for you and will you dare lay hold of that plan in faith and press forward? There maybe a plan yes but it takes faith in God to walk in that plan. Why faith?

A look at Hebrews 11:11 tells us why. “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him”. Faith in God is the condition for walking in the divine plan.

God can only manifest Himself to the person who dares to believe in Him and in His plan. Anyone who dares to lay hold on the plan of God in faith will end up victorious but he must not set aside time to consult his own negative thoughts but commune with the Holy Spirit alone through the word of God.

To this end the Psalmist says “ Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You”. ( Psalm 119:11).

Along the path of the divine plan there maybe turbulence, but there is a sense of faith, of a certainty the he is bringing us to an expected destination and that is why His plan is called a blessed hope.

Why is the plan of God better than the plan of man? Yes, the plans of man will always clash with the plans of God but it is always costly to allow our own plans to override what God has for us. The failure of Joshua to consult God lead to the fatal defeat at Ai.

Like Joshua we have all in one way or the other gone our own ways from what God intends for us but the good thing with God is that He will always take us back if we confess our sins and ask him to place us back in the center of His will for our lives.

In the fatal defeat at Ai, the mistake of Joshua was that he neglected to consult God and it caused a huge problem but he responded in a godly way. How we respond to our sin and shortcomings will determine how much God can use us.

How do we ensure we remain steadfast in God’s will for our lives? We must continually have the sense that God is a holy God who has asked us to be separated from sin through His own sanctification that we may be fully suitable for his plan.

God makes this manual expressly clear in 2 Corinthians 6:17 saying “Come out from among them And be separate. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” Along with faith any man who will have a sustainable walk in the divine plan must constantly turn away from sin and to God.

When do we see the fullness of the plan of God manifested in our lives? it is when we cease from our own limited understanding and all that separates us from God while allowing Him to take control. This is how the divine plan for our lives manifests.
