The owner’s Manual

You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me”. (John 5:39).

Every vehicle comes with an owner’s manual from the manufacturer consisting of everything and every detail you should know about your car’s design and functions. It also comes with careful instructions on how to best care for your car.

Similarly, God who is our maker also has an owner’s manual designed to ensure that we are at our optimal best.

As the maker of man, God is a manufacturer who knows how best human beings can function at optimal levels, he alone knows when we are malfunctioning and what to do to fulfill our destiny.

Like most vehicle owners keep a date with mechanical service assistants, man must check himself in for God’s touch and repairs to get the best out of his own life, and to perform at his optimal level.

Why is this so? The Bible says we have all inherited a malfunctioning virus of sin and must therefore check ourselves in for a reset.

“ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. (Romans 3:23).

To check in our lives with any other service assistant different from Jesus Christ is to risk the danger of quacks.

Testifying himself, Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6).

In defiance of this truth, many have allowed quack mechanics to vandalize their lives just because they’re unable to receive the simple invitation of Jesus saying:

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”. (Mathew 11:28-30).

In the Bible, we have great examples of people who took the issues of their lives back to their maker and people who took their own lives as well to quack both with differing results.

Instead of seeking God in repentance, Saul took the issues of his life to the witch of Endor leading to further complications (1 Samuel 28:3–25). After the horrible sin that would come to stain his kingship, David rather threw himself at the mercy of God and he was forgiven.

David said: “I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into human hands.” (2 Samuel 24:14).

Beloved, neither angels nor prophets nor fellow men but only God can truly understand how the issues of our lives can be perfectly fixed therefore making it mandatory that we establish a personal relationship with Jesus, and keep building on it.

That’s why Apostle Paul strongly warns saying: “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed”. (Galatians 1:8).

Unfortunately many in the quest for a quick fix to solving their life’s issues have fallen to quacks and fake doctrines which has further damaged their lives.

Only our maker has a deep understanding of our problems and the comprehensive way to solve them with His owner’s manual.

To ensure that we have easy access to our maker after the redemptive work of Christ God instituted a call center in each believer and that call center is the presence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those who believe in  Jesus and the manual is the Holy Bible.

The Holy Spirit, the call center, and the Holy Bible, the owner’s manual complement each other to make the believer complete in God.

In the Epistle to Romans 8:26 Apostle Paul rightly states: “the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans”.

To have the Holy Spirit and then enjoy easy access to God’s owner’s manual you must be born again and you must continue to build up yourself in the Holy Ghost.

Jude says, “But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit”. (Jude 1:20).

The Bible makes it clear that the Holy Spirit does not indwell the unbeliever, for the Spirit comes only to those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord. Romans 8:9 says, “You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit if indeed the spirit of God dwells in you.”

Therefore, this is another opportunity to commit to Jesus if you haven’t done so. And if you have done so but are no longer hearing from the Holy Spirit concerning the issues of your life this is also another opportunity to recommit your life to God.

God bless you as you do so.
